Circle of Life

Shane called. He asked if he could speak to Claire. This is how the conversation went from Claire's side.
"Hi, Shane. . . . watching TV. . . .okay. . . okay. . . . okay. . . . .okay. . . . yes. . . . okay. . . . okay. . . okay. . . um. . . okay. . . I want to go watch TV now. . . okay. . . okay . . . okay. . . okay. . . okay. . .see you later, bye."

Again, Cody wasn't happy, Claire is more interested in the tube, and I am left reminiscing about the first time a boy called me. Kyle Isaat in the third grade. He called me and yet I was the one who got in trouble, by my dad. The circle of life.

That's too funny. I'm shocked that his mom even let him call. And how the heck did he get her number? My parents always screened unknown calls, and if it were a boy they'd tell him he had the wrong number. At least you have the security that Claire's into the tube more than the boy. Plus in a few months you'll be moving....long distance relationships have a high probability of not working out:)

Ha ha ha! Good for her. Better to be interested in TV than boys at that age. :0)

I can't believe he called her. That does seem a bit young. :) Where was his mom?!!!

oh yeah i never gave you my #. I'll do that because we do need to chat but here's my 2 cents about the "fire king" I thought it was a really well written compilation of short stories. I was amazed how involved I got with the characters after just a few pages. I thought you'd like it as you are a writer yourself. anyway, nothing special. just thinking of you. and happy birthday =)

Funny story! It starts way too soon. I am not looking forward to it.

Brooke,
Based on your "Good reads" list, I think you will really like the "Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" I finished it last night and I was very reluctant for it to end even though I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen. Check it out.
